The Association of Finnish Children’s Cultural Centers coordinates a project promoting the accessibility of hobbies. The project will be presented in June at the annual conference of ENCC. In the workshop, we will present our new accessibility recommendations, label and the traffic light method designed for hobby organizers.
The Association of Finnish Children’s Cultural Centers has worked persistently to promote the cultural rights and accessibility of children and young people in many ways. Accessibility has been supported for example by promoting Cultural Education Plans, by the Art Testers cultural education program and The Finnish Model for Leisure Activities, among other things.
The European Network of Cultural Centres annual conference will take place in Riga, Latvia. The conference will span over two days from the 4th until the 6th of June. It will be an exploration of culture’s contribution to accessible societies, as well as a celebration of the network’s thirtieth anniversary.

The European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) was established in 1994 by cultural operators from Flanders, Finland, and Poland. Today, the ENCC, headquartered in Brussels, focuses on EU project training, member consultations, and addressing various issues including inclusion, gender equality, and digital ethics. Co-funded by Creative Europe since 2014, its efforts continue to evolve.
