National children’s culture forum and networking day

National children’s culture forum and networking day

The annual National Children’s Culture Forum brings forth the significance of and opportunities for children’s culture as well as gives guidelines for its future. The Forum is an important event in the culture field in Finland. It is arranged by the Association of Finnish Children’s Cultural Centers and local cultural centres for children with their cooperation partners. The Forum provides an opportunity for children’s culture actors to network, a platform for cultural political debate and meetings between different fields of culture. The theme of the Forum varies from one year to another and highlights different forms and operational environments of children’s culture as well as multi-disciplinary cooperation in the field.

The Networking Day for actors in children’s culture is arranged annually in connection with the National Children’s Culture Forum, with the purpose of bringing together children’s culture actors from various parts of Finland, offering the opportunity to network and share information. The Networking Day is arranged by the Association of Finnish Children’s Cultural Centers together with local cultural centres for children.

Instead of organizing another national children’s culture forum, in 2019 we are organizing the first International Children’s Culture Forum in Finland. Read more about the event here.
