International Children’s Culture Forum 2019 invites you to volunteer
The first International Children’s Culture Forum in Finland takes place in Tampere this fall, on 30th September – 1st October. The forum’s themes are children’s cultural rights and inclusion in arts education. Forum participants are professionals in the fields of children’s culture and arts education from all over the world. International Children’s Culture Forum is on the official list of Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
In order to organize a successful event, we at the Association of Finnish Children’s Cultural Centers need a group of enthusiastic volunteers to help us. The volunteers work in approximately 4-6 hour shifts in registration, info desk, session rooms, study visits and guiding forum visitors in walking tours around the city. We also have interesting tasks for volunteers interested in event communications!
The forum begins in Tampere Hall on Monday 30th September. On Tuesday 1st October the programme continues in The Tampere Comedy Theatre. The volunteers will also attend study visits with Forum participants in several locations in Tampere and Pirkanmaa area.
Art Testers seminar will take place in Tampere Comedy Theatre alongside with the Forum on 1st and 2nd October.
We appreciate all kinds of skill sets and experience. The most useful skill in interactive work guiding the visitors is a proactive and positive attitude.
The volunteers will receive a certificate, food during the shifts and valuable experience of a large-scale international event.
See the Forum programme on our website.
